I have opened my heart to another ferret. His name is Oskar, and he was born in October of 2005. My boyfriend adopted him from someone that no longer had time for him...I couldn't be happier.

Oskar has a bottom snaggle fang...it is as though the right side of his jaw is popped forward, and his lower canine sticks almost straight like an arrow. He is unique, and I am glad we have welcomed him into our family. He is a sweetie, and still very energetic.

It seems as though I have taken a huge liking to the older ferrets...Bella is 6 years old as of Father's Day of this year. She was approximately 2 when I got her, but we have no idea for certain. Maybe she was 1, maybe she was 3...there is no way to truly know, as she was just left outside of animal control with no story.

So, when I wanted another ferret, I kept a look out for an older one, and found Oskar. I consider myself very lucky to have come across him. I felt this way about Bella, too, so I know it's love.

They will not be able to meet for quite awhile, and I am not certain they will even like eachother...however, that's no problem with me. I adore them both, and will do what's best for them to keep them happy, healthy and comfortable for as long as they are able to stay here.

Ferrets are amazing critters. Had my grandfather not adopted for me, my first one in 2003, I would have never know this...$35 was the fee, hundreds for vet bills...for just a couple short months of life with my beloved Ben...but, he changed me. I hope to never be without a ferret again. After I lost him, I was. For an entire year. Never again. It's too painful. They are wonderful animals.

As a sidenote, I am not "confused." My "moods" won't load, for some odd reason, and thus...I cannot change it. I am actually feeling quite blessed, and very lucky.
